Ryan grew up in Tillsonburg Ontario but has been a resident of Chatham-Kent since 2011, He graduated from University of Waterloo in 2008 with a bachelor of Arts degree specializing in business and Political science. He is married with one son, Rory.

Ryan has been a Realtor since 2014, specializing in residential resale home sales, income property sales, condominium sales and commercial sales.  Ryan continually upgrades his skills and knowledge base through courses, seminars and participation in real estate-related activities.  He subscribes to a stringent code of ethics and standards of business practice in all areas of real estate and client relations.  Ryan has strong ties to the community sitting on boards of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation and a continuous partner of the Stubborn Buffalo ALS fundraising campaign.
